The international airport in northwestern Saudi Arabia serves the tourism megaproject in development, The Red Sea Project. Designed by British architects Foster + Partners, the airport began operations on 21st September 2023, and is expected to service one million passengers per year in 2030
We were engaged by the client, Amaala to draft and prepare the suite of contracts the client needed for procurement of the design and construction of the airport.
The design contract was awarded to the world-renowned architects Foster and Partners. Following the award of the design contract, we drafted and negotiated a bespoke Design & Build contract based on the FIDIC Yellow Book form of contract for the landside and airside elements of the project.
