Hail Field Terminal Island remains to this day one of the UAE’s most complex oil and gas projects. The project required the construction of an artificial island to facilitate the recovery of oil and natural gas.
Our role on the project was to act as the Contract Manager on behalf of the contractor throughout the pre-contract and project execution stages.
We were directly responsible for the daily administration of the contract to ensure that all terms and conditions of the contract were strictly complied with to protect the contractor’s rights and remedies pursuant to the contract.
This included drafting and issuing all the related daily correspondence and contractual notices, and the preparation and negotiation of all claims for additional time and cost, leading to the successful submission, negotiation, and settlement of the final account.
